Just Put It in the Closet!

When planning for a city baby in an urban dwelling, space comes at a premium.  This is why I’ve been obsessing over the idea of a Crib Nook in the closet.  With a little bit of elbow grease, some cute wallpaper, and a mini crib, it seems do-able. It would be amazing to keep a “guest bedroom” for family and close friends but only if baby is comfortable in the closet! Image

First step is to get out the measuring tape to see if it could work.  No, actually the first step would be to BUY measuring tape because we don’t even own one. Oh dear!

Nobody puts baby in the corner…

Happy decorating!

iPhone App: CineMama

The pregnancy app from the March of Dimes, called Cinemama, is a fun way to track the baby bump progress.  Each week you post a photo to the app, you will receive tips and information nuggets to help along the way.  The best part is that you can use the images to create a video.

Important Note: You have to use your Facebook credentials to log in, therefore you must first have a Facebook account.

Stroller Wars: Let’s Roll

Who knew that picking out a stroller could be more difficult than car shopping?  I sure didn’t!  There are way too many options out there and for someone as indecisive as I am, it seems like an impossible task.  Around the city, I’ve seen my fair share of Orbit strollers and Uppababy strollers.  I absolutely love the look of both of them and with a comparable price tag, I will have to take these for a “test roll” soon.

If we look at the review from Baby Gear Lab, it would seem that the Uppababy stroller is a clear winner.  Image

But because I can’t just take someone’s word for it, I will have to see for myself.  Let the stroller research/shopping begin!

Happy Shopping,

Welcome Aboard!

I have a little passenger in my belly!  I’ve been pregnant for 9 weeks and 2 days and after finding out at just 2 weeks along, I already feel like I’ve been pregnant forever.

What no one ever told me is that the first trimester can mimic a terrible hangover…only it lasts for 3 months.  Dry heaving, restless legs, throwing up bile, moodiness, and lethargy are just the tip of the iceberg.  Yes, I know it is all worth it so please don’t tell me.  However, I will be very happy to hit the energy spurt that is supposed to happen at the start of the second trimester.  Almost there!

I won’t be showing an ultrasound photo as I don’t want to put my guts on display, but in case you are wondering the baby looks something like this!
