Although this last month of pregnancy has brought along fatigue, exhaustion, sleepless nights, and acid reflux, I’m trying to soak it all in as we will soon be adding a little one to our family of two.
Believe it or not, the third trimester has been the most enjoyable one for me as I feel a true connection to the baby and my changing body. While it’s true that I feel like a beached whale/bed stain as I spend 75% of my day laying in bed watching movies, reading, napping, etc., the end is near so I’m coming to terms with the laziness.
In this final month, I have crossed the line of being social, fun, and comfortable to being a hermit who can’t even bear the thought of wearing clothes. If I make it out of my robe, it is an accomplishment. To say that I am uncomfortable is an understatement. I can barely walk because of the extra weight, I can barely breath because of Baby Beetle’s position, and I can barely last 5 minutes before hitting the bathroom as my bladder is non-existent. However, I know that this is completely normal and just part of being pregnant, therefore I won’t spend the time or blog space complaining.
In saying all of this, the time has come to give credit where credit is due. My husband needs a shout out! Beetle has been an amazing partner by stepping up to care for our dogs, keeping up with the housework, and checking off items on the honey-do list to make up for my lack of contributions. Thank you for all that you do!
