Today was a day for the history books.  SCOTUS finally acknowledges and passes a law that #lovewins and #loveislove.

Even though the world Henry is being raised in is a cruel, harsh one, it is now one that will let him choose who he loves in the eyes of the law, and I couldn’t be happier. Let’s be honest…life is hard enough.

To celebrate the day, my friends and I took half the day and celebrated by playing in the city.  Henry is obviously too small to remember this, but I have photos to mark the special occasion.

just call me a hypocrite: The Mom Chop

I can’t believe it, but I actually did it…

…I got the post-baby “mom chop” haircut.

hair cut

In doing this, I am now the world’s LARGEST hypocrite.  I am a long hair kinda girl who doesn’t care much for short hair.  I’ve never had short hair, never wanted short hair, & always said I’d NEVER follow the cliche and get my hair cut after I have a baby.

Why on Earth would I want a mom haircut (aka Mom Chop)?

oh dear…how things have changed!

In fact, so much has changed in such a short period of time that it somehow feels impossible to make sense of who this new me is.

Who am I?

Who Did I Become Overnight?

I’m now a mom.  I now have a son. We are now a family of three.

Now that I went through this HUGE life transformation, my hair acts as a symbol. I can now show people on the outside how I feel on the inside!

A new life = a new hairstyle.

Never Say Never,
