While Daddy Beetle codes, Baby Beetle snoozes.

Coding must be BOREing!:)

Henry in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Over the weekend, we traveled to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to celebrate the nuptials of one of my very best childhood friends. This was Henry’s first wedding, and he had a blast!  Now that he can sit up on his own, he is very independent and wants to be in his own space.  This is great because it clears my hands and allows for cute photo ops, like this one!

Truth be told, seconds after this photo was taken, this little cutie next to him stood up and ran away.  She was SO over Henry & his stealing of the spotlight.

And a photo recap of our trip –

Son Of A {Beach}

There is no amount of sand and sun that can stop this little guy! Henry LOVES the beach, which is great for me because I am quite the beach bum, myself!  Living a few miles from the beach also makes it super convenient for him to get his fix.

I wish I could take him everyday but as it stands now, we make it {almost} once a week.  We always start out with sunscreen, a sun hat, a jacket, socks, pants, and a shirt to protect his skin.  However, we end up with one naked baby as he heats up and wants to be in his diaper.

I think we may be raising a nudist/exhibitionist.

20 Days Ago: Starting Planks

Twenty days ago I started a post about Henry planking while visiting family in the DC Area.  I just noticed it in my drafts folder and realize how much has changed in the past twenty days.  Now Henry is crawling and puling himself up on objects around the house so this little milestone/advancement doesn’t seem as big of a deal as it was when it first happened.

But because I don’t want to minimize his accomplishments, I decided to add it to the blog. I am blown away by the progress he makes day to day. I feel like every time I blink, he’s picked up a new skill or reached a new milestone.

Melon Head: A Photo Experience

To slowly start the transition to solid food + also relieve teething pain, we turned to the Boon teething feeder.  After adding a little melon, putting it in the freezer for an hour, and handing it to Henry, it was a huge success.

Here is the the play-by-play experience in photos:
